Hiking, climbing, running
In summer, the marvellous nature, the expanse of the sunny plateau and the Mieminger mountain range attract hikers and mountaineers in particular to the sun terrace above the Tyrolean Oberinntal valley.
Stroll or walk along the themed trails in the Alpinpark. For example to the Bergdoktorhaus in Wildermieming, better known as the ‘Sonnenstein’, where Harald Krassnitzer was ordained as the ‘Bergdoktor’. Or on the delicacy trail on the trail of Tyrolean Gröstl, probably one of the most famous dishes in the country.
Conquer the proud Hohe Munde, the easternmost peak of the Mieminger Kette. Its rugged local mountains are also appreciated by climbers with a head for heights, as the region's rugged rock faces also offer challenging via ferratas and routes.
Trail running is very popular in the Mieming region. There are 16 varied trail running routes to choose from.
